Kaiora Tipene is, in no particular order, a passionate funeral director, a practitioner of Māoritanga and one half of beloved reality TV duo: The Casketeers. Operating Auckland funeral home with husband Francis, Kaiora (Te Rarawa) expertly blends the new with the old, bringing tradition back to life. Running on TVNZ 1, Netflix and SBS, the docu-series follows stories of bereaved families, trials of running a business, as well as insight into indigenous Māori and Pasifka grief processes.
