Comedy Powerhouse & Expert Host
Justine Smith is one of New Zealand's most in-demand comedians and MCs, whose many and varied solo shows have garnered critical acclaim. Justine’s trophy shelf is overflowing – she has won the NZ Comedy Guild Award for Best MC three times and Best Female Comedian now four times receiving both at the recent 2020 Guild Awards!
She’s a regular on television, often appearing on the comedy series 7 Days and on the panel of The Project. Justine also spreads her humour across the country by travelling to comedy festivals, local pubs and corporate events. Those who know her, or have seen her live, will know her jokes always hit the mark and the crowds lap it up! Her charming and expressive performances take her audience on the journey with her, while never far away from a punch line or a subtle gag with a raised eyebrow. She’s been around for blimmin’ ages and is recognised for her appearances from the Comedy Gala and Aotearoha to being a writer for Rhys Darby’s mockumentary Short Poppies. A leading light in NZ comedy, Justine is just as comfortable in front of an audience of thousands as she is in an intimate bar.
