Tinihuia is a young Māori-New Zealand actress probably best known for her role as core cast member 'Tillie Samuels' on hit Kiwi hospital drama "Shortland Street." Tinihuia made her on screen debut on Māori Television kids show "Kia Mau" at just 9 years old. She went on to land a lead role in Aileen O’Sullivan’s short film "Let Your Sisters Be", which earned Tinihuia a Best Newcomer to the Screen Award at the Monaco Film Festival. She is fluent in both Te Reo Māori and English.
