Career Highlights
Karl Urban is one of New Zealand’s most well-known actors having forged an international career through his roles in numerous Hollywood blockbusters. He is best known for his dynamic turn as the Rohan warrior Eomer in the second and third installments of Peter Jackson’s The Lord of the Rings trilogy, playing “Dr. Leonard ‘Bones’ McCoy” in Star Trek and Star Trek Into Darkness, as well as his chilling performance as Kirill in Paul Greengrass’ The Bourne Supremacy. More recently Urban stars as Billy Butcher in Amazon Prime’s The Boys as well as Skurge in Taika Waititi’s Thor: Ragnarok alongside Chris Hemsworth, Cate Blanchett, and Mark Ruffalo.
Urban won critical acclaim early in his career for his performances in the New Zealand films The Price of Milk and Out Of The Blue. Karl has gone on to star in Dredd, The Chronicles Of Riddick, Walking With Dinosaurs and Red among many others. He was seen recently in Star Trek Beyond and Disney’s Pete's Dragon.
