Career Highlights
Joyena is an young actress who currently attends Marist College. In 2016 she was cast in the short film Wait, which won Best NZ short film at the 2016 New Zealand International Film Festival. Joyena then landed the role of 'Shensheng' in Yamin Tun's short film "Blood and Gold", where she worked alongside experienced NZ actors Jodie Hillock and Mark Mitchinson. In 2021, "Blood and Gold" was nominated for numerous awards at the 2021 Show Me Shorts Film Festival, in which Joyena received a nomination for the Toi Whakaari Best Actor award.
