Ella is a versatile performer who graduated from Toi Whakaari: New Zealand Drama School with a Bachelor of Performing Arts. She has since established a dynamic career across film, television, and theatre, Recently, Ella starred as Valerie Armstrong in the Irish/NZ co-production "The Gone"(BBC), which was awarded Best Drama at the NZ TV Awards. Ella will return to her role for the highly anticipated second season, set to be released globally later this year. In theatre, Ella has been recognized for her compelling portrayal of 'Elizabeth' in Gary Henderson’s "Skin Tight", winning the Outstanding Performer award at the Wellington Theatre Awards. Her creative talents extend to international stages, as seen in her solo show "Soft Tissue", which she developed and performed with an underground theatre company in Tehran, Iran. This show was nominated for Newcomer of the Year and Outstanding Performer at the NZ Fringe Festival and Wellington Theatre Awards and has been presented to sold-out audiences at Bats and Basement Theatre, as well as in Singapore and at Arohata Women's Prison. Ella’s other notable theatre credits include a lead role in Auckland Theatre Company’s "Peer Gynt Recycled", Auckland Live’s development season of "Hansel and Gretel", and the Wellington immersive theatre hit "Second Unit." Her on-screen work includes roles in the feature films "Weed Eaters" and "In Passing", as well as appearances in the television series "Black Hands" and the TV pilot "Deadbeat." She also starred in the web series "Self Help", which won Best Ensemble and Best Show at the NZ Web Fest, showcasing her ability to captivate audiences across multiple platforms.
