Mike Minogue has played a lot of policeman. He’s played cops in TV movies How to Murder your Wife, Doubt: The Scott Watson Case, and, Rage – which saw him getting nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the 2012 NZ TV Awards. Wellington Paranormal, the spin-off series from New Zealand mockumentary What we do in the Shadows, stars Minogue as a police constable, Officer Minogue, with Karen O’Leary playing his work partner Officer O’Leary. On-screen, the pair are assigned to the police Paranormal Unit and deal with supernatural occurrences in a bid to keep the public safe. The show was created by Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement. Mike is also the creator of The Watercooler, an anthology web series re-enation real life stories sent in by viewers.
Last year saw Mike scoop the award for Best Actor at the 2019 Huawei Mate30 Pro New Zealand Television Awards. Mike resides in Auckland on beautiful Waiheke Island with his wife and young daughter.
