Tim Wilson is a journalist, writer, radio host and presenter, who has worked on some of the biggest events in the past two decades. For 16 years, Tim worked for TVNZ, whilst being their New York correspondent Tim reported on events such as the GFC, the Obama election and Hurricane Katrina. During this time, Tim also worked as a celebrity correspondent for RTL, Europe’s biggest broadcasting network and appeared on the IFC Media Project, with a US audience of 40 million. At home he’s worked as a reporter for TVNZ’s Seven Sharp show and a radio host for Newstalk ZB. In addition to all this, Tim is also a published author, his novel Their Faces Were Shining was long-listed for a Booker Prize! Tim’s incredible experiences and versatility means that he is a seasoned professional in the media industry, always professional yet super down-to-earth.
Currently, Tim is the executive director of the Maxim Institute, a research and public policy think tank based in Auckland.
