Journalist, TV Host, Writer, MC, Speaker
Tim Wilson is a TV reporter, radio host, father of three… so far, husband, author, and non-electric scooter rider. For a while he was going nowhere fast as a print journalist writing for titles as diverse as NZ Woman’s Weekly and the New York Times. Then he fell into TV, and started falling faster. Working as TVNZ’s US Correspondent for seven years in New York, he has also been a celebrity correspondent for RTL, the biggest network in Europe, and appeared on the IFC Media Project, with a total US audience of 40 million. His novel Their Faces Were Shining was longlisted for a Booker Prize. On New Zealand TV he has tried to run through a door (fail), jumped off a very high diving board (successful, but weeping), and eaten cat food (draw your own conclusions). He loves MCing, and telling people things they might find interesting, and sometimes funny.
Tim is married to Rachel, and they are the proud, happy parents of three boys under four.

Tim was an impeccable MC to work with. Not only on the stage but off it also. He read our audience and event perfectly, delivering a balance of humour, respect and professionalism. Seeming at ease in front of 900 of the top movers and shakers in the business community he added a great level of energy and confidence to the event. Off stage he was a pleasure to work with, his easy and relaxed nature mixed with his enthusiasm for our project was much appreciated.
