Walter Neilands is a cheerful up-beat television host, writer, MC, speaker and business owner. He’s renowned for his high-energy and creative activity on shows such as TV3’S Cadbury Dream Factory, Dancing with the Stars, and NZ’s most popular youth show Sticky TV. Walter has been hosting and writing television for a decade now, and has interviewed stars ranging from Guy Sebastian to legendary former All Blacks. He’s built a reputation for death defying stunts and adlib comedy, which has garnered him a large connection with NZ audiences. In 2019, Walter brought his joyful spirit to Dancing with the Stars, for his chosen charity Kidney Kids NZ - who he is also an ambassador for. In 2020 during Covid lockdown Walter wrote, filmed and presented the hugely successful TV show AMPED (TV3) about how to have fun during the lockdowns.
