Grae has worked in screen and stage productions as an actor, writer, producer and director. He has appeared in true-crime series Underbelly: Land of the Long Green Cloud, long-running Kiwi soap Shortland Street, drama series Dear Murderer and Lee Tamihori’s feature film Mahana. Additionally, Grae has showcased his behind-the-scenes talents, most notably working as associate producer on Taika Watiti’s record breaking film Hunt for the Wilderpeople.
