With a career spanning more than 30 years, Carol Hirschfeld is a beloved and respected New Zealand journalist, broadcaster, presenter and producer. Carol’s presenting career began in the 1980s when she worked on the wildly popular TVNZ show Crime Watch. She became a regular face in NZ homes while working as co-presenter of 3 News alongside John Campbell for 7 years. Carol then went on to become producer of award-winning current affairs show Campbell Live, where she guest-hosted a number of times. She’s also voiced her very own caricature on the hilarious bro'Town! Since leaving TV3, Carol has worked across a variety of media outlets, such as head of programming at Māori TV and head of content at Radio NZ. Currently, Carol is head of video, audio and content partnership at Stuff, and was honored as a distinguished alumni by Auckland University in 2017. She has made guest appearances on shows such as The Project and is a sought-after MC and public speaker. Always warm and welcoming, Carol’s vast experience has meant she has mastered the art of connecting with audiences - on camera and in a live setting!
